Prakash Agarwal

Prakash Agarwal engages with borrowers and lenders including housing finance companies, NBFCs, AIFs, domestic and international banks and international funds on capital structuring, debt raising, and long-term funding strategies. With over two decades of experience, Prakash brings a rare blend of transactional expertise and regulatory insight to discussions on reform in the real estate ecosystem.

Prakash has engaged worked extensively with policymakers, regulators, and financial institutions to shape frameworks critical for market stability, liquidity, and sustainable growth. Previously, as Senior Director & Head – at India Ratings & Research (Fitch Group), he developed a deep understanding of credit risk, governance standards, and regulatory bottlenecks.

Prakash has engaged closely with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Housing Bank (NHB), and the Department of Financial Services, contributing to regulatory design and delivering expert briefings on the impact of policy on capital availability. His perspective is informed by hands-on experience across banks, AIFs, private credit funds, DFIs, and global institutional investors.

As a speaker, Prakash focuses on regulatory changes required to improve capital access, reduce systemic risk, enhance transparency, and attract long-term domestic and global capital to the growth of domestic industries.

He is also a motivational speaker, mentor, and visiting faculty at JBIMS and NIBM, known for translating complex regulation into practical, actionable insights for industry leaders.

Puja Agarwal

Puja Agarwal is Partner at Gefion Capital primarily managing real estate financing for the firm. She brings close to 20 years of experience across corporate finance roles, predominantly in the real estate sector.

She has exceptional capabilities in debt syndication, structured debt, quasi equity, and equity funding. Her solution-oriented approach, structuring skills, and strong industry relationships are widely recognized.

Puja has built strong relationships with public and private sector banks, NBFCs, asset management companies, pension funds, AIFs, private equity, and debt funds.

In her last role, she was Head of Finance at JP Infra, Mumbai—one of India’s largest affordable housing developers. During her tenure, the company expanded significantly, and she ensured smooth funding flows from a wide spectrum of lenders as the balance sheet scaled multiple times.

Prior to JP Infra, she held senior finance roles at Lodha Developers and Essar Steel, managing some of the largest debt transactions in India, including a single transaction of approximately ₹560 billion and cumulative structured transactions exceeding ₹20,000 crores.

Puja has strong academic credentials and was a state topper in both matriculation and higher secondary examinations.

Beyond finance, she is an orator, yoga enthusiast, motivational speaker, and an esteemed member of the Art of Living Teacher Committee. She is an ultra-marathoner, swimmer, trekker, cyclist, Pinkathon group leader, and has completed multiple full and ultra marathons including the Pune–Mumbai Ultra Marathon.
